I'm focus on the study of condensed matter physics, specifically related to the ground and excited state properties of different kind of materials by first principles techniques (aka ab-initio methods) based on the density functional theory (DFT) . With the current methods it is possible to analyze and study the structural, electronic, magnetic, vibrational, and electron-coupling properties of several systems, like metals, surfaces, magnetic, and superconducting materials, among others, without any kind of fixing parameters or experimental information (not more that the atomic species and maybe crystal structure).
